Visit to the botanical gardens

On Thursday the 21st October the class went on excursion to the National Gallery Victoria then went to the Botanical Gardens where we drew and photographed the vegetation.
In classes we then used charcoal to draw the photo image

We worked on repeated pattern making and then coloured them in photoshop.

I had difficulty with spillage as not all the lines had been joined up properly

Working with Stencils

Look closely and you'll find 2 cats in the stencil images on the left.
The burmese cat face on the right I designed and the reverse picture is on the bottom

These are the first paintings we did in a painting class working in tone with only black and white paint. The pear is painted with acrylic paint and the man is in oils.

Line

This is a better example of line that has been photoshopped

 This is a dart board  made out of wine bottle corks.  Had a lot of fun preparing  for this project

I like the lines that the shadows make in this photo

Working with photoshop these photos were developed in photoshop to bring out the line. this is a place of solitude in my garden

In class we are working with line.  This is a drawing of a brown burmese . Over the years I had two brown burmese cats

First painting

"A Grand Affair " I have a black baby grand piano in my studio I used water soluble oil  paint the strokes aren't good but it was my first attempt with oil paints 

I love cats and this is Cascade curled up on the couch

This is my old burmese cat Marsanne that had to be put down in May after being with me for 20 years

We were taking photos in the photo booth in class today

Today is the fourth week in my Visual Arts course and I am settling in returning to study and enjoying myself at NMIT.
